Brooklyn Galleries Tours
Upon booking, you’ll have the opportunity to tell us how we can customize the tour for you and yours. Tell us which museum or museums interest you, when you’d like to tour, and a bit about yourself or your group.
Brooklyn is home to one of the largest concentrations of artists in the world and you can feel it in the galleries here among the artist studio spaces. From Bushwick’s Clearing Gallery or Williamsburg’s Boiler and Pierogi gallery, to the Brooklyn Art Space and the Gowanus Studio Space, we’ll guide you through the commercial galleries and nonprofit and artist-run spaces on a private art tour.
If we time it right, we can explore a curated selection of artist spaces during your guided tour of the open-studios on weekends scattered throughout the year. Contact us well in advance to organize up-coming dates.
Depending on our itinerary’s destinations, we can visit about 6-14 art galleries and studios during a guided two-hour tour, or explore longer and more if you prefer. We put the gallery and works in context in a manner that invites discovery and discussion. Along the way, you’ll get an overview of the Brooklyn gallery scene, including the neighborhoods of Bushwick, Dumbo, Greenpoint, and Gowanus. As we do not offer public group tours, all of our tours are private tours. Your tour will be led by a qualified art historian with a background in modern and contemporary art and experience in the field.
