Discover the impressive architecture of Hudson Yards and the gorgeous High Line outdoor elevated park, which concludes next to the new Whitney Museum now located in the Meatpacking District just a few blocks from the south end of the Chelsea art district. ART SMART can create a unique walking tour for you and yours focusing on the art and architecture in this vibrant area. We will select objects, buildings, and galleries that will resonate given your tastes and interests.
We’ll begin our private guided walking tour with an exploration of the outdoor elevated park of the High Line and the stellar architecture that is developing currently along the park. We can offer the historical context of how such an elevated park was developed and stop to discover more about the outdoor artworks installed along the High Line. Along the way, you’ll be able get an overview of the Chelsea gallery scene that passes underneath the High Line. You’ll also get to check out the constantly evolving architecture and unique sculptures of Hudson Yards, including The Shed and NY’s new staircase landmark, The Vessel.
For those interested in the foodie culture of NYC, we can also explore the Chelsea Market. As we do not offer public group tours, all of our excursions are private. Your tour will be led by a qualified art historian with a background in modern and contemporary art and experience in the field.
