Join ART SMART on a hunt and cultural tour of the best, most exciting works of art and culture the Smithsonian and National Mall have to offer. For the hunt, you and your group will have to find (but not grab!) all the cultural objects on our list of highlights in the Smithsonian and around the National Mall. Your personal art historian will be along to offer clues, answer questions, and provide historical context for each work of art you find.
If you’d prefer to skip the hunt and let the art historian lead the way just let us know and we’ll organize the tour accordingly. Either way, you’ll get a broad art historical overview that encompasses a range of styles, media, artists, and cultures. Each tour can be customized based on the number, ages, and interests of your group members.
What to Expect on Your
Find & Seek Hunt and Highlights Tour of DC’s Smithsonian and National Mall
Upon completing the booking process, you will receive an email with details regarding where to meet your guide. The tour will be conducted in ART SMART’s signature conversational style to ensure a fun, fresh, educational experience for every member of your group. Depending on the information you give us, your guide will organize the tour to best suit the needs and preferences of your specific group. Some of the highlights you’ll see include:
- Memorials commemorating fallen soldiers, wars fought, former US presidents, and other influential figures
- Art and artifacts from American history and pop-culture

Private tours for 1 – 4 people in your group booked online* start at $225 per hour (a 5% discount over tours booked via email or phone). All tours have a two-hour minimum. Additional people and/or additional time have an additional fee. Museum admission needs to be added for each person. This is added during your booking. We will get your tickets ahead of time for you. So you can skip the lines!
* For those who need a bit more service via email and phone, our pricing begins at $225 per hour for 1 – 4 people. Larger groups are $50 per adult, $25 per child.
